CB files case against 8 Ayush docs

Srinagar, July 6 : Crime Branch Kashmir has filed a case against 8 Ayush doctors who are members of AYUSH Doctors Association for alleged “extortion and blackmailing”.
The Crime Branch Kashmir has registered a case (FIR No. 34/2021Under Section IPC sections of 420, 120-B) in Police Station Crime Branch Kashmir against the eight doctors who are all members of the AYUSH following a complaint.
A written complaint was received by Crime Branch Kashmir, alleging that a fake association of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha & Homeopathy (AYUSH) Doctors is running within J&K.
The complainant had also said that the Association was running on fake address without any true credentials. The complainant, they said, also alleged that the fake Association was also resorting to blackmailing, extortion, harassment to Indian System of Medicines (ISM) employees.
A preliminary verification was carried out at Crime Branch Kashmir and during the probe, it surfaced that the Association is not registered either with Registrar Societies or any Government Department.
The case has been registered against the Association president Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Parray, Senior Vice president, Zahoor Ahmad Tantray, Vice president Shabir Ahmad Parray, General Secretary Dr Farooq Ahmad Naqashbandi, Joint Secretary Mohammad Amin Kawa, Publicity Secretary Dr Javed Hussain, Chief Organizer Dr Reyaz Ahmad Teili and Treasurer Dr Sheeraz Ahmad Lone.
