JAMMU, Dec 22: The Crime Branch (CB) Jammu has filed challans against 18 accused individuals involved in various fraud cases.
These charge-sheets were submitted to courts after investigations were completed and the offences were established.
As per a Crime Branch spokesperson, the accused include a former journalist, three property dealers, two former contractors, and four Government employees.
The cases, registered between 2014 and 2024, were investigated thoroughly by experienced officers with the help of scientific methods, he said, adding that accordingly, the charge-sheets were filed in courts in Jammu, Samba, and Udhampur for further legal proceedings.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Crime Jammu, Benam Tosh, confirmed that the challans were submitted for cases registered under FIR numbers 40/2020, 23/2014, 48/2015, 33/2019, 40/2016, 21/2022, 35/2018, 69/2022, and 57/2015, which will now proceed for judicial determination.
