JAMMU, Apr 16: The Crime Branch Jammu today produced challan against chairman and secretary of the Sainik Colony Housing Society among six persons for fraudulent transfer of a plot.
The challan was produced in case FIR number 31/2010 under Section 420, 467, 468, 471 RPC against Kuldeep Singh of Lower Roop Nagar Jammu, Mohan Singh Jamwal of Nanak Nagar, Lt Col Iqbal Singh of Sainik Colony, Daulat Ram of Sainik Colony, Kartar Singh Padwal of Sainik Colony and Romesh Chander Mehta of Sainik Colony Jammu.
As per the case, which was registered on the complaint of Lata Gupta wife of Late Ram Ditta of Roulki Bakshi Nagar Jammu, her husband had purchased a plot number 707-C measuring 10 marlas at Sainik Colony from one Raghu Nath Singh of Akhnoor in 1991. A payment of Rs 58000 was given to Raghunath who handed over possession of land but died before transfer of the plot in the name of complainant’s husband. Later on, one Lt Col Ravinder Singh through his father as attorney holder, fraudulently got the aforesaid plot transferred in his own name by fabricating the fake documents in connivance with one Kuldeep Singh and then Director of Sainik Colony Housing Society.
Crime Branch Jammu conducted investigations and established the allegations. After collecting evidences against the accused persons, challan in the case was produced today before the court of law.
