JAMMU, Aug 21: In the much publicized ETT scam, Crime Branch has produced supplementary charge sheet for the session 2008-2010 before the Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu against the officers of J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) and others.
The accused persons against whom challan was presented are Mohan Lal Gupta, son of Isher Dass of Jagatpur Kathua (Promoter of Baba Sadho ETT Institute Kathua), Pardeep Masih, son of Mehboob Masih of Samba (Chairman of Calvary ETT College Samba & Calvary ETT College Ghagwal), Ajay Choudhary, son of Mela Ram of Kalibari (Promoter of Saraswati Institute of ETT & Research Logate Morh, Kathua), B R Choudhary Institute of ETT Amala, Kathua, Robin Ram Krishan, son of Ashok Kumar of Kathua (Promoter of Krishna ETT and Research Institute Shastri Nagar Kathua), A S ETT Institute Kathua, Ganpati ETT and RI Shastri Nagar Kathua, Mader-e-Meheban ETT Institute Dhaloti, Kathua and Acharya ETT and RI Kathua, Pranab Ram Krishan, son of Ashok Kumar of Kathua (Promoter of Balmiki ETT Institute Kathua), Kulbir Singh, son of Anchal Singh of Kathua (Promoter of Shiv Baba ETT College Kathua), Pankaj Kumar, son of Manohar Lal of Kathua (Promoter of Indira Gandhi ETT Institute Kathua), Suman Kumari, wife of Satpaul Sharma of Kathua (Chairperson of National Educational ETT Institute, Kathua), Kamlesh Bhadwal, wife of Padamdev Singh of Patel Nagar Kathua (Chairperson of Geetanjli ETT Institute Kathua), Rakesh Khajuria, son of B K Khajuria of Hiranagar (Chairman of Jai Maa ETT Institute Kathua), Lok Raj Parihar, son of Jyoti Ram Parihar of Subash Nagar Jammu, the then Assistant Secretary, BOSE (now retired), Dr Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, the then Secretary BOSE (now retired), A K Abrol, the then Joint Secretary Academic BOSE (now retired), Sushant Sharma, son of Ram Nath of Adarsh Vihar (Deeli) Sainik Colony and Ch Farooq Alam, son of Ch Khurshid Alam of Channi Himmat Jammu (Chairman of Baba Budhan Shah ETT Institute and Choudhary Khurshid Alam Memorial ETT and RI, Bye Pass, Jammu).
“ETT was a huge scandal where money in hundreds of crores exchanged hands as bribe and almost all persons were involved in the loot. All sorts of malpractices have been done as neither registration of candidates was done in time nor classes started or the hostel facilities provided”, Crime Branch spokesman said.
“The candidates were lured and a huge amount ranging between Rs 45,000 to Rs 80,000 was taken from each student each year for the two year course through touts for providing them the degrees / certificates by the erring institutions who do not fulfill even the basic norms and standards laid down by the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE)”, he said.
After hearing CPO Jawaid Ahmed Khawaja with DySP Kuldeep Khajuria appearing for the Crime Branch, Special Judge Anticorruption granted bail to the all the accused and fixed September 19, 2017 for arguments on charge.
