JAMMU, Feb 23: The Government has handed over the case of fire in Drugs Store at Government Medical Colleges (GMC), Jammu to Crime Branch.
Sources said the decision was taken in view of continued fire incidents at the Drugs Store, resulting into loss of medicines, running into crores.
The Government has asked the Crime Branch, Forensic Sciences Laboratory and Fire and Services Department to join the investigation and submit report soon.
Advisor, Incharge Health and Medical Education Department, K Vijay Kumar recently met GMC Jammu authorities after which he decided to handover the case to the Crime Branch for in-depth investigations and find out root cause behind the fire, total losses suffered in fire.
Sources said action would be taken against anyone found guilty on the basis of investigations.
