JAMMU, Mar 31: Crime Branch has unearthed fake appointment scam and booked three persons.
According to the official handout, a communication made by Under Secretary to Government, Agriculture Production Department was received in Crime Branch wherein it was alleged that Government Order No. 94-GAD of 2014 dated 27-01-2014 issued under endorsement No. GAD (Estt)A/1323-27 dated 27-01-2014 and pertaining to the appointment of one Pardeep Singh Baju, son of Harnam Singh Baju of Bhagwati Nagar as Class IV in the Horticulture Department, on verification was found to be fake as the same was not issued by the GAD, as such, appropriate action under law may be taken.
On the receipt of this complaint, a preliminary verification was initiated in Crime Branch and it was found that accused Pradeep Singh Baju in connivance with one Pawan Kumar, son of Surinder Kumar of Puran Nagar Bhagwati Nagar and Saroop Lal, son of Sanga Ram of Kothi Morh Bari Brahamna prepared the fake and fabricated appointment order bearing Govt. Order No. 94 GAD of 2014 dated 27-01-2014 issued under endorsement No. GAD (Estt)A/1323-27 dated 27-01-2014 and produced the same before Director Horticulture, Jammu in order to secure his appointment as Class IV.
It was also found that accused Saroop Lal being a fraudster was already involved in case FIR No. 28/2006 registered in Police Station Crime Branch, Jammu.
“The omissions and commissions, therefore, on the part of Pardeep Singh Baju, Pawan Kumar and Saroop Lal, prima facie, constitute offences punishable under Sections 420,465,467,468,471,120-B RPC”, a spokesman of Crime Branch said.
