KHALTSI, Oct 3: The Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, today organized a two-day Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme on Mission Life, Poshan Abhiyaan and Swachhata Hi Seva at SDM Office Hall of Khaltsi.
District Programme Officer, ICDS, Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani was chief guest on this occasion.
Experts and resource persons from ICDS, Health and Education Departments emphasized on the importance of sustainable practices, cleanliness and waste segregation at source.
The speakers emphasized upon the participants to adopt a balanced diet and lead a healthy lifestyle to improve the overall well-being of society.
The chief guest deliberated on various welfare schemes implemented under ICDS and urged participants to focus on nutrition and balanced diet as essential elements of a healthy lifestyle.
Field Publicity Officer CBC Anantnag, Shahid Mohammad Lone highlighted the role of CBC in grassroots-level outreach, ensuring the citizens stay informed about government schemes and fully benefit from them.
Naseer Ahmad Rather, Field Publicity Officer CBC Srinagar informed that similar outreach programmes have been held across Ladakh over the past two weeks, with more events scheduled in Leh and Kargil districts until October 10.
Open quiz and drawing competitions were held for the participants, who were awarded mementoes and certificates.
Teachers and students from Higher Sec School and Govt Middle School Khaltsi also participated in the programme.
The outreach activities in Khaltsi will continue till October 4.
