CBI plea for Raja Bhaiyya’s polygraph test adjourned till June 18

LUCKNOW, June 11:
A special CBI court today deferred to June 18 the hearing on a CBI plea for a polygraph test on former Uttar Pradesh minister and independent MLA Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiyya in the Zia-ul-Haq murder case.
Raja Bhaiyya’s counsel informed Special Judge Zeenat Mirza that his client could not appear in the court today.
Raja Bhaiyya will have to tell the court whether he is ready for the polygraph test and only after that will a decision be taken on the CBI’s petition.
On June 6, the CBI had moved a petition seeking permission to go for a lie detector test on Raja Bhaiyya.
The CBI’s demand followed a marathon interrogation of the former minister for around 19 hours on May 15 and 16. (UNI)
