CBK files chargesheet against fake certificate cases

Srinagar, Dec 14: The Economic Offence Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir today filed a chargehseet against two accused in connection with a fake 8th class certificate.
The CBK filed the charge-sheet before the Court of Passenger Tax Srinagar against Abdul Majeed Zargar son of Mohammad Sadeeq Zargar of Kaka Road Habba Kadal, Srinagar and Bashir Ud Din Dar son of Amir Din Dar of Nigeen Bagh, Krangshivan Colony, Mohalla Baba Raza, Sopore.
The spokesman further stated that the case had been registered after a written complaint, wherein it was alleged that some employees of School Education Department Srinagar have managed to record fake date of birth on their Service Books.
“Subsequently an enquiry was ordered to be conducted into the matter which culminated into registration of Case FIR No. 69/2022 of Police Station Economic Offence Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir,” a statement issued by the CBK said.
“During the investigation, it came to fore that Zargar, Orderly Chief Education Office Srinagar has submitted fake Middle Pass Certificate, accordingly a Case FIR No. 69/2022 was registered at P/S Economic Offence Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir and investigation set into motion,” the statement said.
During the course of investigation, the accused Zargar was examined, who stated that he had obtained the said 8th Pass School Certificate from a teacher Bashir Ahmad Dar, who was posted in Government High School Bomai, Sopore.
“The photograph of said Dar was shown to the accused Zargar in presence of witness, who recognized him and admitted that it is the photograph of teacher Bashir Ahmad who had given him the fake 8th Pass Certificate of Government Boys High School Bomai Sopore and the same was produced for the appointment, therefore it is clear that the name of the accused teacher is Bashir Ud Din not Bashir Ahmad and he had issued the said fake certificate to accused Abdul Majeed Zargar and offences under section 420, 468, 471,120-B RPC has been established , and accordingly Charge Sheet in Case FIR No. 69/2022 produced before the Hon’ble Court of Passenger Tax Srinagar,” reads the statement.
The Crime Branch Kashmir today filed another chargehseet against two ladies in a fake Date Birth certificate Case in a court.
The CBK said that its Economic Offence Wing filed a Charge-Sheet in Case FIR No. 21/2020 U/S 420, 467, 468, 471, 201 RPC of P/S CBK before Court of City Judge Srinagar against Hassina Bano daughter of Ghulam Rasool Ganai of Nawa Kadal wife of Sheikh Nasrullah of Astanpora Rawalpora and Shugufta daughter of Ghulam Nabi Mir of Gojwara Srinagar wife of Manzoor Ahmad Khan of Rose Lane Near Salfia Masjid Budshah Mohalla Lal Bazar, Srinagar.
According to spokesman, the instant case had been registered upon a written communication received from Director Handicrafts, Kashmir wherein it was alleged that Ex-Manager Massive Carpets Scheme, Handicrafts Department filed a writ petition before the Hon’ble High Court, wherein among other issues, the petitioner raised doubt against the qualification and age of other employees of Massive Carpet Scheme, accordingly Case FIR No. 21/2020 was registered in Police Station Crime Branch Kashmir (Now Economic Offence Wing) and investigation set into the motion.
“During the course of investigation, it came to fore that the entry in Service Book as fake Date of Birth and other circumstances clearly established/ proves that the accused Hasina Bano and Shugufta Bano joined in the department of Handicrafts on the basis of fake and fabricated date of birth certificates and offences under section 420, 467, 468, 471, 201 have been established, accordingly Charge Sheet in Case FIR No. 21/2020 produced before the Hon’ble Court of City Judge Srinagar,” reads the statement.
