JAMMU, July 19: Citizens Cooperative Bank Chairman, Parveen Sharma today met Registrar Cooperative Societies, M.M Rehman and discussed various issues regarding improvement of Cooperative Societies and Banks.
The Registrar gave many suggestions to improve the working of the Bank.
Sharma demanded interworking of various cooperatives irrespective of their sectors and maximum cooperation among them to achieve each other’s financial and growth targets.
It also came to light that Citizens Cooperative Bank Ltd is planning to construct its own building on a plot owned by it at Rail Head Complex which will certainly reduce the cost of operations of bank.
A handout stated that proposal of opening a new branch of the Bank at the new proposed building is also there.
Rehman expressed satisfaction with the recent recovery drives of the Bank through SARFAESI Act and court’s interventions which has reduced NPA level of the Bank.
He also hailed the Bank for initiatives of marketing wherein the Bank has started meeting public through various mediums to enhance its business.
Ravi Kant, Professional Director of the Bank; Ashok Goswamy, Managing Director and Sanjeev Sharma, Chief Manager were also present on the occasion.
