CCBL signs agreement with JK Bank to provide RuPay Debit Cards

JAMMU, Mar 10: In order to provide better customer services, the Citizens’ Cooperative Bank Limited (CCBL), Jammu has signed an agreement with Jammu & Kashmir Bank Limited for issue of RuPay Debit Cards.
The Board of Administrators headed by Dr Arun Manhas, (Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu) besides initiating various steps to improve the working of CCBL Jammu also approached J&K Bank Ltd for sponsoring the Bank for ATM services.
The J&K Bank Ltd sponsored CCBL Jammu as its sub-member to participate in National Financial Switch (NFS). An agreement to this effect was signed in Corporate Headquarter of J&K Bank at Srinagar between J&K Bank and CCBL under the scheme of Sponsoring Cooperative Banks for NFS & ATM services through ASP Model.
This will enable the customers of the CCBL to access e-payment instruments like RuPay Debits at POS terminals and e-commerce platform besides facilitating affordable payment mechanism to benefit the common man and help financial inclusion.
The CCBL Jammu will be able to issue RuPay debit cards to its customers. The customers of CCBL will now have access to appropriate financial products.
The agreement has been signed by Nishi Baru, President, J&K Bank Ltd and Ashok Goswamy, Managing Director, CCBL Jammu. SS Sehgal, Executive President, J&K Bank Ltd, was also present on the occasion.
