JAMMU, May 10: A team of Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI) Jammu headed by its President Arun Gupta met Rahul Yadav here on Tuesday and anticipated that the new JMC Commissioner will help in creating a trader-friendly environment in the region.
Earlier at the outset of the meeting, the CCI President congratulated the new Commissioner for taking charge of the Jammu Municipal Corporation. He said that CCI is looking forward towards healthy ties between the businessman community and the civic body as they have to play a significant role in the development of the region.
Arun Gupta said that CCI Jammu is ready to act as the bridge between the civic body and the business fraternity of Jammu and it is anticipated that both will create a cordial atmosphere which will steer the region towards becoming one of the most developed ones in the country.
After taking keen interest in the points raised by the CCI President, Rahul Yadav assured wholehearted support to traders and industrialists of the region calling them important constituents of the local economy. He said that cooperation between the government bodies and trader fraternity is a must for boosting the local economy and realizing development as never before.

Meanwhile, Arun Gupta also appreciated the move of the Central Government for approving a package of Rs 12,000 crore for revamping power infrastructure in J&K. He said that LG Manoj Sinha has played a pivotal role in bringing this utmost necessary package for improving the power edifice in J&K as the same is in shambles due to ignorance and neglect of successive governments ruling the erstwhile state of J&K in the past over 70 years.
