CCI delegation calls on CM

JAMMU, Apr 26: A delegation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI, Jammu, led by its president Rakesh Gupta, called on the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, at the Civil Secretariat, here this afternoon.
Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Navin K Chaudhary, was also present on the occasion.
The delegation submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister and also apprised her about their demands relating to Tourism, Health and infrastructure projects in Jammu province.
The Chamber projected demands including development of Suchetgarh tourism circuit; identification site for setting up of a museum at Suchetgarh; parade on pattern of Wagah at Suchetgarh border to promote border tourism; expediting pace of work on Jammu Ropeway Project; full functioning of Super Speciality Hospital in Jammu; setting up of AIIMS at Jammu and Srinagar and according proper place to CCI in protocol for various Government functions.
The delegation also urged the Chief Minister for speeding up work on flagship projects which include multi-tier parking at Jammu Bus Stand, restoration of Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex, Artificial Tawi Lake Project and completion of work on Jammu Convention Centre.
Regarding the issue of sending trade delegation across the LoC, the Chief Minister said she will look into the matter so that the reciprocal visit is expedited, which will boost cross-LoC trade at Salamabad (Uri) and Chakan- da- Bagh (Poonch).
The Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the demands raised by the delegation and asked Mr Chaudhary and other concerned officers to ensure time-bound action.
