CCI seeks PCC chief’s help in solving pending issues

JAMMU, Dec 7: Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu has appreciated the keenness shown by AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi in taking up issues raised by CCI and Industries Association Bari Brahmana during his recent visit to Jammu with the Union Finance Minister, P Chidambram.
In a press statement issued here president of the CCI, Y V Sharma said that meeting of the Finance Minister  with the AICC general secretary Ambika Soni, Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz and Ahmed Patel as reported in the section of press has indicated that Government was serious in resolving the issues of the Jammu industry. The Chamber also lauded the efforts of PCC president  in this direction and sought his help in solving other pending issues of  Jammu industry and its over all development.
The CCI president also urged Prof Soz to pursue the demand of setting up of Rail Coach factory or any other mother public sector unit at Jammu which could employ at least 10,000 people from the region to solve the problem of unemployment. Mr Sharma further urged the PCC chief to take up the issue of international airport at Jammu, rail connectivity to Rajouri-Poonch and Doda-Kishtwar, wholesale markets, expansion of Jammu Railway Station with the Union Government.
