DODA, Dec 28: The Cyber Crime Investigation Unit (CCIU) of Doda Police with technical help from CEIR Portal & ESU Doda traced and recovered 45 lost mobile phones whose estimated value is around Rs 8,40,090.
The recovery was made from different States/UTs of the country like Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh etc.
There were various complaints registered with Doda Police regarding the missing mobile phones and after hectic efforts, the CCIU of Doda Police recovered these phones.
SSP Doda, Sandeep Kumar Mehta handed over the recovered mobile phones to their rightful owners at District Police Office Doda and appealed to the general public to take utmost care of their mobiles as they contain personal data and there is every possibility of misuse of mobile phones.
He urged the public to report the matter of missing mobiles to the nearest Police Station and update the data on CEIR portal so that the phones are not used by the anti-national elements.
