LEH, Nov 20: A person named Vishnu Meena, son of Babar Singh Meena, a resident of Rajasthan, was arrested at KBR Airport in Leh after airline authorities discovered 35 rounds of 9mm in his possession.

The accused, reportedly on his way home from Ladakh, is a permanent employee of Civil Defence and was working as a tradesman at the 34 Ammunition Depot in Tangste, under the 03 Division. According to sources, he was produced before the court in Leh today, and was sent on a four-day police remand .
The incident occurred when he attempted to board a flight out of Leh this morning, but security personnel detected the live rounds, which were reportedly sealed in a thermos-like tin. A case has been registered under FIR no. 227/24 u/s 7/25 (1A) Arms Act 1959.
