JAMMU, Feb 22: The routine OPD services and diagnostic facilities will be re-started in Chest Disease (CD) Hospital, Jammu from tomorrow.
The decision was taken by Principal Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu Dr Shashi Sudhan Sharma after consultation with Medical Superintendent of CD Hospital, concerned HoD and Administrator GMC and Associated Hospitals, Jammu, in a meeting held in her office chamber.
It was decided in the meeting that the CD Hospital will start functioning in a phased manner for the management of non-COVID patients. It was decided that in the first phase, the routine OPD and diagnostic facilities will start in the hospital from February 23 while indoor patients shall continue to be admitted in Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
The meeting further decided that the CT scan of COVID patients shall be done at CD Hospital and CT scan of non- COVID patient shall be done at GMC Jammu. Earlier, CD Hospital was being used for the management of COVID patients.
It was resolved in the meeting that the new arrangement shall be subject to review and all the SOPs/rosters and guidelines regarding COVID-19 management shall get re-operationalized in case of a resurgence of COVID-19 pandemic.
