JAMMU, June 17: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan today reviewed security situation and operational preparedness in Jammu in his meetings with top Army Commanders at Northern Command in Udhampur and 16 Corps headquartered at Nagrota.
Gen Chauhan visited headquarters of Northern Command in Udhampur and White Knight Corps at Nagrota and met top Army Commanders to discuss security situation in the Jammu region.

He addressed the officers and called for jointness and integration in achieving the tri-services synergy. He complemented all ranks of the Indian Army and Indian Air Force for their professionalism and jointness in operations in Northern Command.
“All officers from Strike One Corps and Fire Fury Corps were also acquainted with the initiatives towards Theaterisation,” the HQ IDS wrote on X.
Gen Chauhan’s visit comes soon after Union Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed the security situation and the preparations for the annual Amarnath Yatra on Sunday in the Union capital.
A series of security review meetings have been held at various levels to further chart out a strategy to deal with growing terrorism in the Jammu region with a strong arm.
