JAMMU, July 30: The Chief Engineer (CE) of Power Development Department (PDD) Sandeep Seth was today manhandled by the annoyed kin of a critically injured daily wager in Government Medical College, Jammu.
The Chief Engineer had reached Emergency Unit of GMC Jammu to see the daily wager Gurdas (deployed in PDD Sub Division-II, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu) who was battling for life after he got electrocuted yesterday while performing his duties in Panama Chowk area of Gandhi Nagar.
However, the annoyed family members and other relatives of the injured daily wager gheraoed the Chief Engineer in front of the Emergency Unit, accusing him and his officers for the condition of the critically injured daily wager. They manhandled the Chief Engineer and demanded him to make all arrangements for the advance treatment of the injured daily wager.
The Chief Engineer was somehow protected from the agitated kin of the daily wager by the police personnel of Police Post GMC Jammu as the angry crowd was hell bent to thrash him.
