LEH, Apr 17: Commissioner Secretary of PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Department of Union Territory of Ladakh has attached Chief Engineer of the department Sumeet Kumar Puri with the Administrative Department with immediate effect.
“Pending decisions on his un-authorized absence and leaving of the Headquarters without prior permission, Sumeet Kumar Puri, Chief Engineer, PHE/I&FC is attached with the Administrative Department with immediate effect”, read an order issued by Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Commissioner Secretary.
The salary of the officer will continue to remain withheld until the Government of J&K takes a decision on his un-authorized absence and leaving of the Headquarters.
Meanwhile, Sonam Wangchuk, Officiating Superintending Engineer of PHE/I&FC Circle Leh has been assigned the charge of Chief Engineer in addition to his own duties, until further orders.
