LEH, Apr 11: To discuss the matters concerning tourism regulation, infrastructure and funding in Ladakh, Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson chaired a meeting here today.
During the meeting, stakeholders made various submissions highlighting regulatory gaps, logistical challenges and opportunities for streamlining systems.
Tsewang Dorjey, president of ALTOA suggested that the Ladakh Resident Certificate (LRC) be made mandatory for the registration of travel agents, aligning it with existing requirements for Advent.
Among others who attended the meeting included Secretary Tourism and Culture, UT Ladakh, Vikram Singh Malik, Deputy Commissioner/CEO LAHDC Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve, LoP, Councillor Tsering Namgyal, Director Tourism Kunzes Dolma, ALTA president PT Kunzang and Nubra Hotel & Guest House Association president Tsering Norphel.
