CEC for immediate renovation of Kargil House at Srinagar, Jammu

KARGIL, Sept 29: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today convened a meeting of the committee members constituted for addressing issues faced by the students of Kargil residing at Kargil Boys and Girls Hostel Jammu and Srinagar, maintenance and renovation of Kargil House Srinagar and Jammu and construction of Kargil Bhawan at New Delhi.
Members of the committee including former CEC, LAHDC, Kargil and Councillor Yurbaltak Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan, former EC and Councillor Choskore Nassir Hussain Munshi, Deputy Commissioner and CEO,LAHDC, Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary, Councillor Cha Stanzin Lakpa and Executive Engineer R&B II Kargil were present in the meeting.
During the course of the meeting, a number of issues with regard to the immediate maintenance and face-lifting of Kargil House Srinagar and Jammu came up for thorough discussion.
It was decided in the meeting that a purchase committee would be constituted to acquire quality furnishing and bedding materials required for both Kargil House Srinagar and Jammu. Further, the Executive Engineer R&B II was instructed to carry out the civil works like the repair of pipelines and solar heating system and other urgent repair and renovation measures immediately.
The CEC directed the Executive Engineer R&B II to ensure the maintenance of qualitative and qualitative parameters during the execution of required works and desired that visible improvement in the condition of Kargil House Srinagar and Jammu should come on ground.
The meeting also discussed the need to raise a 3rd floor over the existing 2 storey building of Kargil House Jammu so as to ensure provision of adequate accommodation facilities to the passengers of Kargil travelling to Jammu.
Other issues like the status of allotment and possession of 6 kanals of land for construction of girls hostel at Jammu, completion of formalities with regard to the construction of Kargil Bhawan at Dwarka New Delhi and submission of proposal to the Government for allotment of 15 kanals of land for construction of additional residential facilities to the passengers of Kargil at Jammu also came up for discussion.
