CEC holds review meeting on Housing for All scheme

LEH, Feb 18: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson, chaired a meeting at the Conference Hall, Council Secretariat, to review and finalize the progress of the Housing for All scheme.
The meeting was attended by DC/CEO, LAHDC Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve; CPO Leh, Tsewang Gyalson; CCF, LAHDC Leh, Zulfikar Ali; Tehsildar Leh, Attaullah Khan; AD FCS & CA, Ruth Mary; Assistant Director Planning(Rural) Ghulam Mohd; Executive Engineer (Construction), Imran Khan and TSWO Leh, Thinlas Dorjay.
The meeting was attended online by ADDC Leh, Sonam Nurboo; Director Garages Dr Tundup Namgyail; Director NIELIT, Phuntsog Toldan and MC Leh Executive Officer, Stanzin Rabgais.
The purpose of the meeting was to address and finalize issues related to the Housing for All scheme. Tashi Gyalson emphasized the importance of fast tracking the ongoing process and instructed the team to prepare a final draft for approval. He also suggested introducing an exceptional circumstances category, which could be considered with the approval of the committee.
The meeting discussed further coordination with the UT Administration to ensure the timely finalization of the matter. After thorough scrutiny, the finalized proposal will be forwarded to the UT for final approval.
The meeting also included a review of the Khorlo scheme, an initiative designed to promote green mobility in Leh. Dr Tundup Namgyail and Phuntsog Toldan provided an update on the Khorlo App’s progress. The CEC instructed that the app should be ready for launch probably by the first week of March.
The meeting concluded with a clear focus on expediting the process and ensuring the successful implementation of the Housing for All scheme in Leh.
