LEH, Dec 17: Chief Executive Councilor (CEC) LAHDC Dr Sonam Dawa inaugurated newly installed BSNL mobile tower in Shang Sumda and a newly constructed link road from Sumda to Chokdo of Shang village.
During the inaugural function, CEC was accompanied by Tsering Wangdus Executive Councillor Rural Development Department and Jamyang Tsering Namgyal Councillor Martselang LAHDC Leh.
While speaking, Dr Sonam Dawa dedicated the link road as a Losar gift from the Councillor Jamyang Tsering Namgyal as he has released Rs 5 lakh and got completed the fare weather road through Rural Department Department within two years of his tenure.
Speaking on the occasion Tsering Wangdus EC (RDR) said that road and telecommunications are the basic necessaries for overall development. He also expressed happiness for the achievements of the Shang village under the leadership of Councillor Jamyang Tsering Namgyal.
BJP senior leader Rigzin Sumda, staff members of BSNL led by Additional General Manager, BSNL Ladakh, field staffs of the Rural Development Department led by ACD Rural Development Department and BDO Kharu, staffs of Construction Division of PWD led by Executive Engineer, BJP team of Kharu Mandal led by General Secretary and President BJYM Kharu Mandal were also present on the occasion.
