Leh, Dec 10: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, convened a meeting to review the status of the Ladakh Buddha Vihara upgradation project. The meeting was attended by Chering Dorjey Lakrook, President of the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA); Dorjey Gyatso, Superintendent Engineer of the Public Works Department (PWD); and Imran Khan, Executive Engineer of the Construction Division. During the meeting, CEC expressed serious concerns over the slow pace of work on the upgradation of the Ladakh Buddha Vihara, a project aimed at improving the infrastructure and facilities of the revered Bodha Vihara which shelters Patient, Pilgrims and Students. The delays, primarily attributed to contractor carelessness and challenges arising from Delhi’s pollution control measures, have hindered the progress. Adv. Tashi Gyalson stressed the critical importance of completing the project on time, he further instructed the concerned authorities and contractors to expedite the work and ensure that the project is completed within the revised timeframe.
