CEC Kargil calls on LG, highlights developmental issues

LEH, Mar 20: Chairman of LAHDC Kargil, Feroz Ahmed Khan, called on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (retired) at Raj Niwas.
Feroz, while expressing gratitude to the LG for sanctioning funds for the purchase of a new CT Scan machine and for giving his approval for the installation of an MRI machine for the District Hospital at Kargil, requested for LG’s intervention in the immediate repair of the existing CT Scan machine and the early procurement of the MR machine for the convenience of the patients at the District Hospital in Kargil.
The CEC highlighted the need for recruitment of Hindi teachers as all the Government schools are now affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to provide better education to students. He also requested for a 300-bedded hospital for Kargil. He further requested to expedite the filling up of the vacant gazetted posts in Ladakh.
Feroz requested the LG for placing a competent officer of the University of Ladakh at its campus in Kargil for its smooth functioning. He also informed the LG of various ongoing development activities in Kargil.
The LG informed Feroz about his plan to visit Kargil soon to meet the people and review the developmental activities taking place in Kargil. He assured to look into the matter.
