LEH, Apr 15: Chief Executive Councilor, (CEC), Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, Feroz Khan today called on Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, R.K. Mathur to discuss various issues pertaining to the situation arising in Kargil district due to the nationwide lockdown in wake of COVID-19 outbreak.
The CEC, Kargil apprised the Lt. Governor of the problems faced by people of Kargil who were brought from Iran and are quarantined at different places in India. He requested to evacuate the people who have successfully completed their quarantine period the earliest possible. He also emphasized upon getting back students, patients and other Kargil residents stuck in different parts of India due to the nationwide lockdown.
The CEC, Kargil also raised the issue related to supply of essential commodities in Kargil district considering the approaching holy month of Ramzan.
