KARGIL, Jan 16: Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd. Jaffer Akoon here today visited District Hospital Kargil and inspected the health facilities there available to the patients.
The CEC was informed that the main work of installation of 128-slice CT Scan Machine has been completed while the remaining work was under execution.
Dr. Jaffer directed the Chief Medical Officer, Kargil to keep the CT Scan Machine ready for inauguration by the LG Ladakh, Brig. (Dr.) B.D Mishra.
The CEC was informed that application engineers will be called from the company for the remaining work.
He was also informed that the Intensive Care Unit and Modular Operation Theatre were ready to provide services to the patients.
The CEC directed the officials of the Health Department to prepare a detailed proposal along with justifications for the extension of the present hospital bed strength to 300 and accordingly the staff strength will be increased.
He also interacted with patients and inquired about the healthcare facilities available in the hospital.
