KARGIL, Dec 12: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan reviewed the physical and financial progress registered under the annual District Capex Budget 2020-2021 during a meeting of the concerned officers, here today.
Executive Councillor (EC) for Cooperatives Aga Syed Mujtaba Mosavi, EC for Works Mubarak Shah Nagvi, EC for Rural Development and Zanskar Affairs Phunsog Tashi, EC for Health Muhammad Ali Chandan, Chief Executive Officer Kargil Development Authority (KDA) Ghulam Mohiuddin Wani, Divisional Forest Officer Sajid Sultan, Assistant Commissioner Development Ghulam Muhammad, Executive Engineers of R&B, PHE, I&FC, SVD Sankoo, KDA and Mechanical Division Kargil and officers of other departments were present in the meeting.
The CEC took sector wise review of the projects taken in hand by different departments under District Capex Budget. Reviewing the pace of progress achieved on different works under R&B Division 2nd Kargil, it was informed that 58% of works have been completed on 7 schemes under the Housing sector at a cost of Rs 405.84 lakh while work on 45 works under Transport and Communication and 38 works under Non Engineering Sector is under progress on which Rs 448.48 lacs and 249.84 lacs have been expended so far.
It was further informed that out of the 168 tendered works, 130 works have been allotted for execution while 38 works are under different phases of tendering and allotment process. As regards to progress achieved on works under PHE Sector, it was given out that 21 works have been allotted for execution while 16 more works have been tendered.
Under Power Sector, the meeting was informed that 90% of works on the creation of 100 KVA, 63 KVA, 53 KVA Sub Stations along with HT/LT Network has been completed in different areas of the district.
Regarding the status of progress achieved under Rural Development sector, it was informed that out of the total 69 works taken up for execution, work on 24 works is going on, 22 tendered while AA is awaited in case of 23 works.
Meanwhile, detailed review on the physical and financial progress achieved on different works under other Engineering and Non-Engineering sectors was also taken during the meeting.
The CEC directed the sectoral heads and executing agencies to ensure the submission of action plan of the works being taken in hand by their departments and get the same approved by the LAHDC, Kargil well in advance before their execution on the ground.
