JAMMU, Nov 18: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Feroz Ahmed Khan today visited Govt Kargil boys hostel, Channi Rama and took stock of infrastructure and other related facilities available there and listened to various demands of the students.
He was accompanied by the Executive Councillor for R&B, Nasir Hussain Munshi. While interacting with students, Khan said that the hostel facility provided by Govt to the students of Kargil is greatly helping them in pursuing their studies in Jammu and asked them to protect this vital asset which is going to help many generations of students in coming times. He said that Council is also going to construct a girl’s hostel at Sidhra Jammu and students of Kargil will be accommodated in the hostel.
The CEC stressed on the students to put in their best efforts to achieve success in their life. He hoped that the students provided accommodation in the hostel would crack prestigious competitive exams and bring laurels to the district and the state. He said that Council will very soon establish a library in hostel premises so that students cannot face any kind of hardship in their study.
He also assured for the early functioning of the solar lighting and water heating system of Hostel to resolve electricity and water problems. He also gave a patient hearing to demands raised by the students and assured that their demands would be fulfilled in the phased manner.
Executive Councilor for R&B, Nasir Hussain Munshi also addressed the students and urged upon them to come up to the expectations of parents who leave no stone unturned in providing quality education to their wards.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Warden Jahangir Khan, Union president and a large number of students.
