NEW DELHI, Jan 8: The Chairman/CEC Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Leh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal and Executive Councillor for Agriculture Phuntsog Stanzin called on Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State in Prime Minister Office and sought his intervention in fulfilling the long pending demands of the people of Ladakh.
The demands which were highlighted before the Union Minister included inclusion of Bhoti language in the Eighth Schedule of Constitution, grant of Divisional Status to Ladakh and sanctioning of a Medical College in Leh as assured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit of Leh last summer for which LAHDC has already identified a suitable land nearby SNM Hospital Leh.
The CEC sought Union Minister’s personal intervention in sorting out the long pending issue regarding land situated at Dwarka in New Delhi for construction of Ladakh Sarai for poor patients, student and pilgrims who visit National Capital.
Dr Jitendra Singh gave patient hearing to all the grievances and assured due consideration of all the demands.
