CEC Leh meets Shah in Delhi

New Delhi, Apr 3: LAHDC Leh Chairman/CEC Tashi Gyalson met Home Minister Amit Shah here today and briefed him on some of the most pertinent issues concerning Ladakh.

The existing budgetary allocation to LAHDC was emphasized by Gyalson and the requirement of additional support from the Special Development Package (SDP) to meet the growing needs of the region, during meeting with Shah.
“There was a thorough discussion on the current Ladakh-specific problems with the aim of solving them as a whole,” Gyalson said.
The CEC stressed on the recruitment process and also an integrated policy of land regularization.
Increased air connectivity was urged by Gyalson to enhance accessibility and promote tourism in Ladakh, which will be beneficial to the local economy as flow of tourists in the region has begun.
The CEC Leh also apprised Shah about development activities that have taken place after Ladakh became a Union Territory and extended an invitation to visit Ladakh and inaugurate various projects.
Additionally he brought forth other developmental issues in the region and Shah assured his full support.
