JAMMU, Mar 23 : The Central Executive Council (CEC) of All Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Officers Welfare Forum (AJKAOWF) held a meeting at Krishi Bhawan under the chairmanship of Nasir A Zargar.
The meeting, besides discussing various ways and means for extending fullest benefits of all the programmes run by the State Agriculture Department to the members of the farming community, also reviewed the progress made in resolving various issues and problems faced by the Agriculture officers fraternity in the state.
It demanded settlement of the long pending issues of DPC and Pay anomaly. The chairman also briefed the members about the various meetings of the Forum with Agriculture Minister, Ghulam Hassan Mir, MoS Agriculture Nazir Ahmed Gurezi, chief secretary M I Khandey, Commissioner Secretary Agriculture Shaleen Kabra, Director Agriculture Ajay Khajuria and other officers saying these meetings have positive results.
The meeting expressed confidence over the joining of Asgar Husssain Samoon as Commissioner Secretary, Agriculture Production Department.
It said with the positive approach shown by the Minister towards the issues facing the agriculture officers the problems will get solved soon.
The meeting also expressed its gratitude to the Minister, team of APD as well as the authorities of JK PSC for issuing DPC list of the first lot of VEWs to AEOs after a wait of about q quarter century calling it first step for conducting of DPC of all the officers cadres of the department at an earliest.
