LEH, Feb 20: Keeping in view the current influx of outsiders including migrant labourers in Leh, the Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson today held a meeting with CMO Leh, Dr Motup Dorje at the Council Secretariat, Leh to review the preparedness on COVID-19 surveillance in the district.
Gyalson directed CMO Leh to ensure proper screening and COVID-19 testing of all the passengers on their arrival at the KBR Airport Leh. He also directed CMO to deploy Medical teams at all the entry points of the district for the same purpose once the National Highways are open for road transportation.
CEC had a telephonic conversation with Commissioner /Secretary Health, UT Ladakh, Rigzin Samphel today and also had a meeting with DC/CEO LAHDC, Leh, Shrikant Suse at the Council Secretariat on Friday regarding the same concern.
