CEC reviews progress of Centrally sponsored schemes, Capex Budget

LEH, July 25: The physical and financial achievements of various Centrally sponsored schemes and Capex Budget of Hill Council Leh 2020-21 under Power sector was reviewed in a meeting chaired by the Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC, Leh Gyal P Wangyal at Council Secretariat, here today.
CEC reviewed the progress of ongoing transmission line projects including extension of 66 KV main power grid line to connect rural areas and completion of sub stations and transformers in rural and urban area of Leh district from PDD, NHPC, Power Grid and RECPDCL being implemented under centrally sponsored schemes like R-APDRP, PMDP (Rural), DDUGJY, IPDS and PMDP (Urban) in detail.
Going through new and ongoing projects one by one in the entire district, CEC set a deadline for completion of all the projects and directed executing agencies to finish the works in rural areas on priority so that far off and un-electrified villages could be electrified at the earliest.
CEC also reviewed the progress of projects under Capex Budget 2020-21 being executed by PDD and LREDA and stressed to achieve maximum progress in coming months.
The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer, PDD Leh G A Mir, General Manager NBPS (NHPC) Alchi P P Singh Wilkh, Chief Manager Power Grid Sukhdev Singh, SE PDD Leh Tsewang Paljor, Project Director LREDA Tsewang Thinlas, Xen PDD Tundup Spalzang and concerned executing engineers of Tata Projects Ltd, Power Grid and RECPDCL.
