CEC reviews status of ongoing, new works of Silmo Constituency

KARGIL, Aug 5: To review the physical and financial status of ongoing and new projects of Silmo Constituency, Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon chaired a meeting, here today.
During the meeting, the CEC reviewed various sectors, including the Special Development Package (SDP), State Capex, District Capex, Border Area Development Programme (BADP), and Languishing Projects under the Public Works (R&B) Division, Kargil.
The CEC directed concerned departments for the process of inauguration to the motorable bridge over Indus River at Garkon, and other completed works after 15th August.
He also addressed several issues, including land compensation for link roads and handover of Government quarter in Silmo to the Principal of Higher Secondary Silmo and lecturer and instructed to outsource the commercial hall cum guest house at Silmo.
Additionally, the CEC urged the relevant departments to expedite the completion of remaining work within the stipulated time frame, given the short working season in the region and instructed for timely and efficient project execution maintaining the quality to enhance the development and infrastructure of Silmo Constituency and all over the district.
Among others who attended the meeting included Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Councillor Silmo Constituency, Former CEC, Superintending Engineer (SE) R&B, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Kargil, Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Kargil, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) R&B and Junior Engineer (JE) R&B.
