Leh, Nov 12: The Chairman/ CEC, LAHDC, Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, chaired a meeting at the Conference Hall, Council Secretariat, to discuss and review the progress of the Housing for All scheme.
The meeting was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner, Leh; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Leh; Superintending Engineer, PWD Circle, Leh; Chief Controller of Finance, LAHDC, Leh; Tehsildar, Leh; Executive Engineer, Construction Division, Leh; and Assistant Director of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs.
Detailed discussions and deliberations were held regarding the scheme. It was noted that 72 units have been completed, and the remaining units are expected to be completed by the end of July 2025.
The CEC instructed the concerned officers to expedite the remaining work. He directed that comprehensive guidelines for the scheme be drafted before allotting houses to beneficiaries.
Adv. Tashi Gyalson emphasized the need for thorough identification of beneficiaries. He suggested establishing a Residents’ Welfare Society to ensure organized management. He also requested that the houses be ready for allotment by January 2025 and proposed a maintenance deposit.
