JAMMU, Apr 1: Chief Election Commissioner of India, V S Sampath has rescheduled his visit to Jammu due to some unavoidable circumstances.
Instead of April 2, Mr Sampath accompanied by Election Commissioner, Dr Narim Zaidi, will now arrive on April 3.
The CEC will first hold meeting with all the District Election Officers (DEOs) and District Superintendents of Police followed by interaction with the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police. Before leaving for Union Capital, the Chief Election Commissioner will brief media about the preparations made for the free and fair polls in Jammu and Kashmir.
However, Deputy Election Commissioner, Vinod Zutshi will arrive tomorrow and hold interaction with the representatives of the police parties at Guest House, Canal Road.
