Sir,
While most of the New Year revellers were busy in celebrating the event in different ways of singing, dancing and enjoying cuisines in hotels, clubs and even at homes, there were some who rightly did not forget the seniors , the neglected ones and gave them an opportunity to smile and share happiness on the occasion. Radio Kashmir Jammu management and other staff members deserve appreciation for choosing the venue of Vrad Ashram, Ambphalla to make the seniors feel that they too deserved to celebrate the event and feel joy of the moment. Under the programme name of Ashirvad, the neglected elders were seen dancing, clapping and joyfully feeling the moment. We cannot forget that they were yesterdays’ powerful youth and as a natural process reaching the evening moments of their life journey, they deserved to be attended the most as this stage, every living one has to reach one day. The connectivity between yesterday, today and tomorrow has to be known and to feel too. It is expected that similar events with these respectable citizens of our society must in future also be celebrated to make our society worth living in the traditions of our rich past culture.
Yours etc….
