JAMMU, Oct 28: The annual newsletter, ‘The Dawn’ of Centre for Women’s Studies (CWS), GCW, Parade, was released in a ceremony held here today.
The newsletter was released under the patronage of the Principal, Dr. Ravender Kumar Tickoo.
Nodal Principal, Dr. S.P. Saraswat, was the chief guest of the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sarswat lauded the efforts put in by the members of the Women’s Study Centre and the students in creating a comprehensive and informative newsletter that highlights the various activities conducted by CWS.
Principal, Dr. Ravender Kumar Tickoo said that “The Dawn”, through its student centric activities, has proven itself time and again.
“The collaborative efforts of the members of the centre for Women’s Studies have played a crucial role in the creation and publication of the newsletter,” he said.
Dr. Seema Malpotra, Convener CWS expressed her gratitude to the worthy Director colleges, Chief Guest and Principal.
Among others who attended the event included Prof. Anita Sharma, Dr. Shally Chadha, Prof. Usha Devi, Dr. Dinesh Jamwal, Prof. Sukhvinder Kaur, Dr. Pallavi Jamwal, Prof. Komal Bangotra, Dr. Asha Rani, Dr. Surinder Parihar, Dr. Iesha Sharma, Prof. Mohd. Qayoom and Dr. Nitu Sharma.
