Centre nod for Bidar NIMZ welcomed

BIDAR, Dec 25: The Union Government’s decision to set up a National Investment Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) in Bidar, the Northern most district in Karnataka, is being hailed as a revolutionary step that can facilitate all round development of the district.
Union Minister for commerce and industries Anand Sharma had said in Bangalore on Monday that the UPA Government had accorded sanction to NIMZ in Bidar and Gulbarga, coming under backward Hyderabad-Karnataka region that recently got the Special Status under Article 371(J).
Former Chief Minister and Bidar MP, N Dharam Singh, today thanked the union Government and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for the decision on NIMZ.
He said in a statement that this would provide jobs to lakh of youngsters in this backward district and significantly contribute to its economic development. ‘Now the investors should take note. They are welcome here and big industrial houses can get advantage special zone. He has called upon the local youth also try to get advantages by launching MSME units. (AGENCIES)
