Centre, UT Admn to lay spl focus on health services in Ladakh

JAMMU, Aug 12: The Central and Union Territory Administrations will ensure special health services within one hour’s reach and access to health services at the doorsteps of remote population, in Ladakh.
This has been stated in a special document published on Ladakh in PIB’s Samachar Magazine.
“Emphasis in Ladakh will also be on increasing mobile connectivity and making digital the hospitals, education and transport services, it said.
It added that large number of roads and bridges are under construction in the Union Territory of Ladakh to increase connectivity in every nook and corner of the Union Territory
“A mission has been launched to shift Ladakh completely to natural farming by 2026. More than 2000 solar lights have been uninstalled,” the document said.
It stated that the Union Territory of Ladakh is developing new Industrial Estates.
Installation of Industrial Estates will help the local entrepreneurs as well as youth to get employment opportunities.
It said several initiatives have been taken to promote industrial development in handloom, handicrafts and food processing sectors with a focus on indigenous products from the Union Territory of Ladakh.
“The Ladakh UT administration has also set up incubation centres to support development of entrepreneurship in Ladakh,” the document said.
It may be mentioned here that Ladakh administration has already formulated its Vision Document for 2050 with focus on 3C approach including community (citizen-centric development), connectivity (100 percent access and mobility) and cluster (decentralised regional development).
As per the document, Ladakh will generate 35 GW of solar and 4 GW of wind energy.
