Centre will leave no stone unturned for development of Raj: PM Modi

JAIPUR, Dec 17: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government is a symbol of good governance and assured that when Rajasthan develops, India will develop at a faster pace, and the central government will leave no stone unturned for the development of Rajasthan.
Modi was addressing a program organised to mark the completion of one year of the Bhajan Lal government at Dadia village here on Tuesday. Congratulating the people of Rajasthan for completing one year of the BJP government, he said that today such a large number of people have come to bless me. He said t last year, Bhajan Lal Sarkar and his team have worked hard to give a new pace and direction to the development of Rajasthan.
This first year has, in a way, laid a strong foundation for many years to come, so today this festival is not limited to the completion of one year of the government; it is also a celebration of the development of Rajasthan.
“I had come here a few days ago for an investment summit where big investors from all over the country and the world had gathered here, and today projects worth more than Rs 45,000 crore have been inaugurated, and the foundation stone has been laid, which will provide a permanent solution to the water crisis in Rajasthan,” he said.
Investment will get a boost in Rajasthan, and there will be countless employment opportunities. Tourism, farmers, and youth of Rajasthan will benefit greatly from this.
Modi said that the BJP has double-engine governments, and whatever resolution the BJP takes, it makes sincere efforts on it, and the people of the country are saying that the BJP is a guarantee of good governance.
He said that today the BJP is getting so much support in one state after another that the country has given the BJP an opportunity to serve the country for the third consecutive time in the Lok Sabha, which has not happened in India in the last 60 years.
The people of India have formed the BJP government at the centre for the third time and for the second consecutive time in Madhya Pradesh and for the third consecutive time in Haryana and have been given more majority than before.
He said that in the by-elections of Rajasthan, the people have given tremendous support to the BJP, which shows how much the public has faith in the work of the BJP and the hard work of the workers.
“Rajasthan is a state whose service the BJP has had the privilege of serving for a long time. Bhairon Singh Shekhawat had laid the foundation stone and given good governance, which was taken over by Vasundhara Raje and carried forward good governance. Now Bhajan Lal Sharma’s government is engaged in further enriching good governance.
The Prime Minister said that the work that has been done in Rajasthan in the last year has just been told in which many decisions have been taken for special poor families, mothers, sisters, daughters, labourers, Vishwakarma companions, nomadic families, etc. Accusing the previous Congress government of doing a lot of injustice to the youth, he said that during its rule, paper leaks and scams in recruitment had become the identity of Rajasthan, but after the formation of the BJP government in the state, all these investigations started, and many arrests were also made. He said that the government has recruited thousands of people in a year and conducted examinations with full transparency, and appointments have also been made.
He said that earlier Rajasthan had to buy petrol costlier than the rest of the states, but after the formation of the BJP government, the people of Rajasthan got relief in it. He said that the central government sends money directly to the farmers’ accounts under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. The promises made by the BJP are being fulfilled at a fast pace, and today’s program is an important link in this. “With the blessings of the people, the BJP government in the last 10 years has worked to facilitate the people of the country and reduce the difficulties of their lives. We have laid a lot of emphasis on the issue, and more work has been done by the Congress in the five-six decades since independence.
He said that the water of the rivers is flowing into the sea. When Atal Bihari Vajpayee was in government, the vision of interlinking rivers was laid down and a special committee was also formed. Rivers that have excess water and are flowing into the sea should be taken to drought-prone places. This would solve both the problem of floods and droughts, but the Congress never wanted to reduce the water problems, and the water of the rivers used to flow across the border, and the people did not get any benefit from it. The Congress has only promoted water disputes between states, which everyone has suffered.
Describing water as Paras, Modi said that wherever water touches, there will be new energy. Recalling the supply of Narmada river water from Gujarat, he said that today Narmada water is being provided to many districts of Rajasthan. He said how much the Congress hung up the ERCP. This is a direct proof of His intention. They talk big and do nothing for the farmers, nor do they allow others to do it. He said that BJP’s policy is not of controversy but of dialogue. We believe in cooperation and believe in solutions, not in opposition. Our government has approved the ERCP and expanded it.
Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh governments are jointly taking forward the water agreement.
He said Rajasthan will have enough water for development. He said that irrigation water and drinking water will also be available in 21 districts, and the development of both Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh will be accelerated.
He said that now water will reach 100 percent of households in Rajasthan. He said that a huge campaign is going on under the leadership of our Union Minister, CR Patil, which is less discussed, but there is a very strong campaign under which rain harvesting structures are being prepared with water participation, and so far three lakh rain harvesting structures have been built.
Congratulating the governments and people of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, Modi said that the scheme can be completed before time if people come forward and support the people of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan without any hindrance. Stating that it is necessary to empower women in India in the 21st century, he said that our government has made efforts to empower women, and till now, 1.25 crore women have become Lakhpapati Didi and are making many schemes to strengthen them. He said that the government has launched another scheme, the Bima Sakhi scheme, for women.
He said that the BJP government has made many compromises in the power sector in Rajasthan. Farmers are going to benefit the most. The Rajasthan government plans to provide electricity to farmers during the day. This is a big step in this direction, and there is a lot of potential for solar energy, and it can become the leading state in the country.
He said that a medium has also been made to reduce the electricity bill to zero, and under this, electricity will be generated by installing a solar plant on the roof of the house, and if it is excessive, it can also be sold, which the government will buy. More than 1.4 crore people have registered for this scheme, and 7 lakh houses have been installed under the solar panel scheme in the country, including more than 20,000 houses in Rajasthan. Solar electricity has started to be generated, and money has also started to be saved.
He said that the government is giving money to set up solar power plants in these fields, and the Rajasthan government is going to set up hundreds of new solar plants.
