JAMMU, Feb 9: Umang Narula, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), J&K, called on N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
Mr. Narula apprised the Governor about various measures initiated by the Department for creating awareness among people about “Right To Vote” and other activities including continuous process of updating of electoral rolls.
Mr. Narula also briefed the Governor about the time schedule and other aspects of the upcoming polls to the J&K Legislative Council.
The Governor congratulated Mr. Narula on being awarded by the Election Commission of India for smooth conduct of 2014 Parliamentary and Assembly polls in the State.
