JAMMU, Apr 4: CEO, ERA Farooq Ahmad Lone along with senior officials of ERA conducted site inspection of various ongoing projects in Jammu.
The site inspection commenced with onsite visit of Sewerage package at Doordarshan Lane Janipur under package WW-05. ERA is executing laying of Sewerage network on west side of Jammu city. Director ERA Jammu Abdul Majid Shabnam apprised CEO that sewer laying is in progress. CEO ERA directed the Contractor to increase the pace of works. He instructed the concerned officials to monitor the progress on regular basis for ensuring completion of project as per schedule.
Hereon, CEO visited the sites of Daily Excelsior Lane at Janipur under package WW-07. Director apprised CEO that all the Sewerage sub-projects are substantially complete and are in process of verification with regard to its testing and commissioning. CEO inspected the progress of house connections and directed the Engineers and Contractor to expedite the work progress to avoid further inconvenience to the general public.
Project Manager JKUSDIP ERA Ajay Gupta informed CEO that the work in Bakshi Nagar, Gurah Bakshi Nagar (Part), Rehari Colony (Part), Rajpura, Shakti Nagar, Shiv Nagar, Subash Nagar, Rehari Colony (part), Prem Nagar, New Plots, Sarwal Colony (part), Rehari Colony (North), Rajpura Mangotrian Sarwal, Janipur (north), Rehari Colony (south), New plot (part) has been completed. The work in Janipur (south), Toph Sherkhanian Janipur (center), Janipur (west) and Ploura is substantially completed.
Finally, the visit was concluded at the site of proposed project Chenab Water Supply Scheme for Jammu which is proposed to be funded under JICA.
