JAMMU, May 3: Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) B R Sharma, who is also Home Secretary of the State, has ordered extension by 12 days for publication of electoral rolls for the Urban Local Bodies.
Mr Sharma issued the revised schedule this afternoon.
As per the revised schedule, the voters of ULBs excepting Jammu and Srinagar Municipal Corporations, the date for filing of claims and objections by the voters has been extended from May 3 to May 14.
Date for disposal of claims and objections has been revised from May 4-8 to May 14-19 while date for preparation and printing of supplement of additions, deletions and corrections now would be done instead of May 9-14 to May 20-26.
The final rolls will be published on May 28 instead of May 16.
