JAMMU, May 31: Chief Education Officer, Jammu, J K Sudan and Deputy Chief Education Officer, Jammu, S S Rathore today inspected various schools and issued necessary instructions to the concerned head of the institutions.
They visited GHSS Canal Road, MS Railway Colony, HS Bathindi, ZEO office Dansal, HS Badsoo, HSS Kah Potha, MS Kanyala, HSS Jindhra, HS Bathera, HS Ranjan Thathi and observed that all the schools were functioning satisfactorily
On spot directions were given to start evening classes in the institution with immediate effect in order to provide remedial teaching to slow learners and to improve the academic standards of the institution. Further instructions were imparted to the head of the institutions to initiate measures for various cultural activities and co-curricular activities in the institution.
Direction were given to the head of the institutions that in view of changing environment and its serious consequences it is the need of the hour to develop love and affection in the hearts of the students towards environment and to do so programmes of plantation must be organized in institution. It was stressed that education is not restricted within the four walls of class rooms and hence in the pursuit for excellence and making the children learn co-curricular activities like seminars, debates, tug of wars etc to enhance the overall personality of students.
Further, directions were given to staff members in different institutions to develop writing skills in students to improve their handwriting, as neat and clean handwriting always attracts one’s attention and art of calligraphy plays a significant role in student’s life. To promote the relevance of calligraphy, competitions should be organized among the students of the different classes, the CEO said.
Chief Education Officer later visited PG College of Education Canal Road Jammu to assess the distribution of different items supplied to the School adopted by College of Education Canal Road Jammu.
