CEO Jammu reviews measures, initiatives for development of institutions

JAMMU, Oct 7: Chief Education Officer (CEO), Jammu, today reviewed various Government schemes as well as measures and initiatives taken for the development of academic standards of the institutions, in a meeting with Principals of Higher Secondary Schools and Headmasters of High Schools of district Jammu.
In the opening remarks, CEO Jammu, JK Sudan, expressed serious concern over the gap between the decisions taken from time to time and their implementation. He asked all the officers in the meeting to feel concerned about the problems faced by the students and proactively come out with solution to redress such problems.
The Chief Education Officer further directed the Principals and Headmasters to keep liaison with concerned ZEOs for completion of incomplete school buildings where the work on school buildings have been held-up due to land issue/any other issue.
Further Head of the Institutions were directed to work out proper mechanism to deal with cases of child abuse if any in the institutions and also make monitoring mechanism effective and responsive to the needs and aspirations of the parents and the students.
Cluster Head of the Institutions were directed to have a monthly meeting on 6th of each month with ZEO concerned with a view to secure better coordination between the Cluster Head and the concerned ZEO.
“Principals and Headmasters need to act as coordinating agencies so that the problem faced at Zonal level for smooth implementation of various schemes for upliftment of the students are sorted out”, the CEO said.
He further said that the concerned Head of the Institutions should immediately bring to the notice of concerned ZEO where the development work has been stopped, with full details and reasons.
