DODA, Mar 4: Chief Education Officer (CEO) MA Rather withheld the salary of seven teachers for remaining absent and also called their explanation.
As per official spokesperson, to ensure punctuality of teachers in the schools, ADC Doda conducted surprise inspections and found seven teachers posted in Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Bhagwah and GHSS Dessa absent.
ADC asked CEO Doda MA Rather to take action against the erring teaching staff for remaining absent.
Taking cognizance, CEO Doda MA Rather withheld the salaries of three teaching staff posted at GHSS Bhagwah namely Rakesh Kumar (Lecturer), Kirpal Singh (Master) and Kanchan Devi (teacher).
He also withheld the salaries of four teaching staff posted at GHSS Dessa namely Mohammad Younis (Lecturer), Ashok Kumar (Lecturer), Sanjeev Sharma (Master) and Jia Lal (teacher).
CEO also asked the absentees to explain the cause of absence within week’s time failing which action warranted under rules will be initiated against them.
