Certificate course in computer networking begins at JU

JAMMU, Dec 22: Department of Computer Science and IT in Jammu University started two months certificate course in computer networking and management.
Induction session for the participants of the certificate programme was held today. The two months training programme is being organized for the students of B.E / B. Tech, MCA and in computer science and related disciplines. The objective of the certificate course is to transfer the expertise of the teachers and technical staff of the department to the needy student community for the enhancement of their practical knowledge in the field of computer networks.
Speaking on the occasion Prof Vibhakar Mansotra, Course Director and Head, Department of Computer Sciences and IT   gave a detailed outlook of the course. He emphasized that during the Course, the students will be given theoretical as well practical exposure on the networking technologies, equipments, tools, network security and management of computer networks. He further, added that course would be beneficial in terms of job employment in the industry.
Amit Mahajan, course coordinator, while speaking on the occasion, welcomed the participants and highlighted the various components / modules that will be covered during the two month training programme.
Among others present on the occasion include   Dr. Vinod Sharma, Dr. Pawnesh Abrol, faculty members of the department, technical and other staff of the Department of Computer Science.
